NAVARATRI CELEBRATIONS

Navaratri was celebrated at AV Thalassery by worshipping Goddess Durga. Pooja was conducted and prasad was distributed to all present.

Pooja performed on Day 9 – MAHANAVAMI

Mahanavami is the third and final day of Durga Pooja. On Mahanavami day, Goddess Durga is worshipped as Mahishasura Mardhini, which means the Annihilator of the buffalo demon. It is believed that on Mahanavami day, Goddess Durga killed the demon, Mahishasura. We performed Navami pooja with devotion in the morning and evening.


Pooja performed on Day 10 – VIJAYADASAMI

We conducted pooja, made the students write Aadyaksharam on sand, and distributed the books which were kept for pooja.
Vijayadashmi is celebrated as the victory of Lord Rama over the demon Ravana, as well as the triumph of Goddess Durga over the buffalo demon, Mahishasura.
