NATIONAL YOUTH DAY

In order to ignite young minds with the idea of a better nation, and to make them realise the relevance of Swami Vivekananda as the torch bearer of brotherhood, dharma and humanity, National Youth Day was celebrated in Amrita Vidyalayam Thalassery.

The programme Yuva Jagruthi began with the school assembly. Principal Bri. Samaradhyamrita Chaithanya addressed the students, speaking about the need to practice dharma and other moral values in their lives, along with the relevence of Swami Vivekanda in building our nation.

The assembly was followed by the second session anchored by Manasa Class XII – Science, with various colorful items like an introductory speech by Lintu C Sekhar, HOD of the English Dept., a short talk by Sree Gauri Samesh of UKG dressed as Vivekananda, a musical skit by a few students depicting incidents in Swami Vivekananda ‘s life.

The students travelled into the world of divinity and pure bliss with the help of Adam sir and Tiana mam, yoga trainers from Canada. It was such an enlightening session as Tiana mam and Adam sir mixed up yoga with dance moves and games. The session ended with a beautiful song by the instructors. Overall, the programme helped the students to become equipped with the necessary values to raise our nation to international standards.

In the afternoon session, an introductory talk about the speaker was given by the principal, and the session was handled by Saijan Kumar sir, Principal of Amrita Vidyalayam Pulpally.
